Why are we asking you these questions?
The UK government is considering introducing identity cards. These will carry basic details such as Name and Age as well as fingerprints. A consultation with young people aged 14-19 is being carried out to get young people’s views on identity and to learn about what they might need. This survey does not ask your name or any personal details. It is anonymous. But if you wish you can separately enter a prize draw after you complete it. This gives you the chance to win one of two 8GB iPod Nanos.(You may of course choose not to enter the draw). This survey will close on July 22nd and winners will be drawn and informed by the end of the month.
What will we do with your answers?
We will use your answers to tell the government what young people think about identity. Your answers will only be used for this survey and will not be shared with anyone else. All data will be destroyed once this consultation is finished.
Who is asking you these questions?
This consultation is being carried out by Kable, independent market research experts, who will tell the Government about the messages from the answers given. However, they will not share any specific answers or the identity of any respondents.
