Free DVD trial / Free DVD for current ScreenSelect members

Right, so this an offer to two groups ... as promoted in TimeOut this week.

Non-Screen Select customers: you can sign up for a month free trial with ScreenSelect AND get a free DVD to keep.

Existing ScreenSelect (or any of related brands) customers: you can simply get the free DVD as well. Choices are "Shaun of the Dead", "CLoser", "Enduring Love", "Vera Drake" and "Withnail + I",

From the T&Cs

"9. If you are already a member of ScreenSelect.co.uk (or a Video Island operated service), to claim your free DVD please send a copy of this reader offer along with a self addressed envelope to the following address: Time Out Promotion, ScreenSelect.co.uk, Studio 8 Europa Studios, Victoria Road, London NW10 6ND."

It's quite nice not to be stung by the "new customers only" thing for once :-)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
If you are already a member of ScreenSelect you have to go onto their site, log out and then try the link otherwise it doesn't work.

Cracking offer though - there was one of these for Love Actually last week with Best so am doing well out of being with ScreenSelect at the moment.
  • Are people just printing that page and sending that? Also, how much postage are people putting on the SAE?

And how big should the SAE be. Will it come in a "proper" dvd case, or the case that screenselect send their dvds in.
  • I sent it all off on Thursday and today got a nice email from them confirming my DVD would be on the way (14-21 days).

In answer to the questions above: I just sent them a print out of the web page and a normal sized envelope, addressed to me, with a first class stamp on.

It's quite confusing frankly ... I also include a brief letter explaining that I had no idea why they wanted the stamped addressed envelope or how much postage to include ... and that they could always cut up my envelope and use it as an address label. It seemed to work - I was very polite!
