thank you so much for posting this!

do you know if it is 20% off the complete cost, i.e. frame and lenses as the 10% off voucher on their website is for the complete cost...

    thanks!!

And don't forget that eye-tests are free in Scotland, so don't buy the magazine just for the eye test if you live north of the border!

Please think carefully before using a voucher for a free eye test. If you are happy with your current optician, keep going to them. An eye test is an important check on the health of your eyes. Some diseases get spotted by noticing changes to the eyes themselves and these changes could get missed if you go to a different optician each time you have an eye exam.

I am an Optometrist (Optician to lay people) so believe me, or not, as you see fit.
  • The vouchers are available in the M&S magazine as well for £1.30 (or Free if you have an M&S card)
  • I had a similar deal with Nectar card, offering a FREE eye test & 'x' amount of nectar points with D&A. I went into my local one & was informed it was free IF i purchased a pair of glasses at, i think was 15% OFF.
Was a little peeved voucher didn't specify this.

Is this a definite, that know purchase is required ??

Do not know if it has been repeated today, but if you've access to (work, friends, neighbours, relatives OR EVEN a paper recycling bin nearby) last Sunday's (13th) "SUNDAY EXPRESS" or Monday's or Tuesday's (14th/15th) DAILY EXPRESS, there is/was a coupon for a FREE EYE TEST (worth £15) at ASDA in those 3 editions.

You need to book an appointment in advance and it is valid until 31st August.

Visit https://www.asda.com or call 0500 100 055 to find your nearest ASDA Opticians.

    Personally I don't trust D&A Anyway.
I went for an eye test less than a year ago using a voucher to get a free test as I believed that my eyes have deteriorated to the point where legally I would need glasses for driving. Despite me not having clear vision they told me everything was fine and I had perfect vision.
I never fully believed them so went to Specsavers and paid for my eye exam and was told that legally I DO need glasses for driving and my eyes have apparently gone from 20:20 to a prescription of -0.75 in less than a year.

Needless to say I'll be using Specsavers from now on, but no matter how hard I've tried I'm not fully comfortable wearing glasses so will be testing some contacts sometime soon.
