The 50 best images entered into the competition, including those taken by the winner and runners-up, will be exhibited at the Getty Images Gallery in London from 29 September until 25 October.
Images must be between 8mb - 50mb. Set your camera to its's highest resolution possible. Unfortunately, we can't accept images taken on mobile phones or less than 300DPI in resolution. The closing date is 8 August 2008.

Is it just me that is finding it a nightmare to enter this comp? I registered but everytime I click on upload photo it just takes me back to the registration page even though I have clicked on the link in the email they sent? I just cant seem to get to anywhere that lets me upload a picture! ??

It says images must be at least 8mb, which is a big image. Maybe the one you're trying to upload is too small?0

I noticed the minimum file size too, my picture is only around 4mb, very confused how they can be 8mb!
Also, any idea how you make a photo 300DPI? Mine was 180DPI (I think) I've noticed a lot of them aren't 300, some are as low as 72
Very confused!

I am pretty sure the DPI is set when you take the photo by the resolution you use (assuming digital photography) ditto the file size its my understanding that you can redusce file size (and the resolution) but it cant be increased beyond the origional....waiting to be corrected here :-)Smile laugh love & live

That's what I thought too, but I was confused as to what cameras people must be using to get such big files!
Mines a 9.1 megapixel with 10x optical zoom and I'm sure it's set on the highest resolution! 0 -
mines 431kb check if yours is MB or KB that might be the answer?

Mines definitely 4.17mb, just checked the image properties on my computer! But on their site it says "Images must be between 8mb - 50mb"That's a pretty HUGE file size for a photo! 0
