star.jpgWIN A MEAL FOR 4 AND A BOTTLE OF WINE
To celebrate the launch of The Greyhound Inn´s website We are going to offer the winner a three course meal for 4 people and a bottle of wine. To enter all you have to do is request a menu. Closing date for entries is 27th August 2008. Terms and Conditions apply - see the news page for more details
The Greyhound Inn was built in the 18th century apparently for the canal workers. 300 years on it is a popular village pub with oak beamed ceilings and open log fires. In the summer time feel free to use our large beer garden and in the winter sit in front of our hearty log fires. To keep with tradition we have the ladies and gents darts team meet up to play their home matches here. We also offer a Traditional Sunday carvery.
Jason, Oi and family took over The Greyhound pub in November 2005. Jason who trained as a chef at Swindon college furthered his experience by travelling the world met his wife Oi who was studying business and marketing in Thailand. Together with their partnership of business and international cuisine they created a marriage of warmth and flavours. Where else can you dine with friends where one can enjoy a traditional Thai curry, the other home made Greek dishes whilst others enjoy the more British traditional favourite of steamed Steak and kidney pudding. Where possible our produce is sourced regionally. We have an extensive menu and also take a look at our specials board which changes frequently and also our market fish dishes.
The Greyhound is perfect for meetings, weddings, christenings and private parties.
Once a month the Morgan Car club meet here and we also hold meetings for the divers club and canoeing club.
