Free fire alarms, also fitted by the fire brigade in kent

This is great, I had my 2 fire alrarms fitted about a week ago. You phone the number below, book an appointment and 3 firemen pop round to your home. 2 fit the alarms one at the top, and one at the bottom of the staris. The other fire man explains fire prevention.

"The Kent Fire & Rescue Service givs every domestic household in the county of Kent a free home fire safety check.

This check will involve a trained Firefighter visiting your home and checking for any risks you have that could start a fire, we will then advise you on how to reduce that risk.
We will also install, where necessary, smoke alarms with 10 year batteries, all of which a totally free of charge, you will not be asked to pay for anything.

I think most fire brigades do this, I had two free fitted last year

I would also get a carbon monoxide one not free but worth the peace of mind

I already have smoke alarms fitted but am interested in the fact "3 firemen pop round to your home" :D:D

I am sure I could find an alternative use for them..................

I too had them fitted about 12 months ago now, and I live in Oldham. Before we moved here we lived in Manchester and we had them fitted there too... So yes I think it is nationwide, think you just need to Call your Local fire station.

I already had 4 in here, but they are the electric wired ones, but they still put me 2 new ones in as the fireman said it was better to be safe than sorry with the electric ones.
