Although they are fiction the "Shopaholic" series by Sophie Kinsella, kept me hooked from first to last age and a good laugh as well:j"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.0

There's a book called 'Not buying it' in which a couple only buy necessities for a year. It's fairly good but I can't remember the name of the author -sorryDebts 07/12/2021

In the Red sounds good, I've just added it to my huge list of books I want to read.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

That's the one.
I'm pretty new to all this but if you PM me (& I can open it) I can forward a copy on to you. It's gathering dust in the bookcase @ the moment.Debts 07/12/2021

Along the same lines Iloved this book
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1903919614
It is about a man living ethically for a year and on cutting down on what they buy and is an excellent read. The author writes for The Guardian and it is an excellent read.
Amazon has used copies from 18p as well. Bargain.
Would really recommend it.0 -
A great one along similar lines is 'Saving Karen' and it is also a true story and a great read - Natlou x0

I don't like amazon second hand, the postage is really high and you can't combine it if you buy more than one book from each seller.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
