Directed by Edward Zwick, Starring Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman & Matthew Broderick

Based on the letters of Colonel Robert G. Shaw. Shaw was an officer in the Federal Army during the American Civil War who volunteered to lead the first company of black soldiers. Shaw was forced to deal with the prejudices of both the enemy (who had orders to kill commanding officers of blacks), and of his own fellow officers.

Glory is a cracking film, well underated, great performances all round, but its not for the squeamish - if you haven't seen it. There's some gory scenes in it and that was in the tv version. If this is a/the full version...well it is about a bloody war.

Just thought I'd let you know. I'll get my coat now.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

    From the Mail's website .......

Get your free copy of Under Suspicion on DVD with this weekend's Mail on Sunday, 7th May.

A tense, psychological thriller starring two Hollywood heavyweights – Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman
In hurricane-lashed, carnival-time Puerto Rico, a killer is on the loose. Three young girls have been murdered in the last month and Harry Hearst (Gene Hackman), a rich and powerful lawyer on the island, discovers the body of the latest victim.

When Captain Victor Benezet (Morgan Freeman), the chief of police, asks Hearst to clear up a couple of points about his discovery, it seems nothing more than routine…...

Instead, Hearst is given the third degree, with a young cop Detective Owen (Thomas Jane) probing into the dark secrets of the lawyer's private life, sex life and relationship with his young and beautiful trophy wife, Chantal (Monica Bellucci), 30 years his junior.

The brash attorney's story starts to reveal a number of cracks, that start to open wider and wider.
