Hey all, good morning and hope you had a nice weekend. I see a lot of posts and PMs for my attention, so it will take me a while to get through them all - probably after lunch today!
So I'll be in touch as soon as I can be, but don't worry, we haven't abandoned and aren't ignoring you (as if we would/could!)

Obviously, I, too, like a bit of silly banter over the weekend. The danger, as with all message boards, is that the thread gets cliquey. But I do think that most "regulars" go out of their way to welcome newbies.
I do understand the points about being off-topic, etc., but in the end, a lot of people come here for some entertainment. If it was just a case of picking up click-throughs, frankly it would be quicker for me (even on dial-up!) just to do it directly on PB's site (which I do anyway). On the other hand, the quiz answers and crossword links generally come from people who chip in with a bit of the nonsense so many enjoy.
All in all, I suggest that the new method of highlighting answers and links with a bold red headline is a very good one, enabling those who only want 10p (oh, how much richer they must feel!) to fill their piggy banks quickly.
As for me, I'm here for more than the 10p. I'm here for the fun. The PB thread is different from the rest of MSE in that a community spirit (I prefer that term to "cliqueyness") has developed here, and I have seen new members become strong and interesting members of that community. To me, MSE is all the richer for it.
But the final word will be with site admin.
Well said: I mainly come on for the quiz answers, but don't mind sifting through to find it.He who laughs last thinks slowest.
I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.

I can't believe pigsback are allowed to change the terms and conditions like they do. When i signed up there was NO mention of a survey, and at the time it stated points would be added within 10 days. I think there was a 3 stage instruction on how to get your points and i followed each one. DARRAGH, this really has annoyed me, and it isnt the first time extra conditions have been applied. Surely people who applied before the extra terms should get the points for doing exactly what it said when you applied. It really isnt on how pigsback make it all up as they go0 -

I have to agree on this one terms and conditions shouldnt be allowed to be changed whenever they feel like it, i'd get annoyed if it was my bank doing it (they have to give warnings) and i think those who signed up before the terms and conditions should recieve their points for it. It does need looking into"Say cheese mommy"

Dizzie wrote:At least people are grenrally friendly and reply to posts on here, last night I posted some bargins on the Boots thread for the first time, one person said it was an out of date offer and another posted to say it wasn't, they got thanked but no one thanked me. Now my post has dissapeared, I have no idea how or why!
Just wanted to defend the Boots thread a bit.Sorry your experience was a bit negative, but just wanted to say it was nothing personal. Since the Boots thread was split some time ago, everyone on there is very conscious of chatting; maybe that's why nobody responded to your post?
Also, if I remember correctly, your post contained a discount code for the website, and they're not allowed on Grabbit, so that's probably why it got moved...
It also might have contained information that has been posted before, and that's why you didn't get thanks? Not sure, but don't take it personally anyway
But yes, sorry this is a bit OT everyone, but the relevant bit is me agreeing with Dizzie about the PB thread being (usually) friendly and helpful. :T

I am a newbie to MSE, i've been using pigsback since last year and I do a lot of hotel/carhire/flight bookings through them (2-3 per week), I even once received a phone call from Darragh to confirm my identity and ask why I stay in hotels as often as I do (I am a sales rep)!
I can honestly say that other than a couple of delays on receiving points (all companies have the odd slowdown at times) I have always received piggypoints that are due, when they are due and the vouchers have always arrived quickly.
So I would just like to say thank you to pigsback for being efficient and helping me justify my hotel spends in the form of vouchers & that although clickthroughs are a bonus and surveys/registrations for companies are a great way of boosting your piggypoints balance, please don't give Darragh and the rest of the pigsback staff a hardtime for delays on giving everyone what is in effect free money.0
