I watched a soccer game once. Celtic versus Rangers at Parkhead. It was ages ago and the details are hazy. It was in my " I will make this marriage work years".
I was petrified the whole time I was there. You could taste the hate. I imagine the Coliseum must have had a similar atmosphere.
I don't suppose the Wimbledon first eleven has quite the same effect on their supporters.Retail is the only therapy that works0 -

i don't mind you telling us that we're in lots of trouble and something big is going to happen but could you be more specific like dates please.I'm afraid to say that I do believe that what Peter Finch's character says in this short dissertation has truly come to pass.
So, when you watch tv, especially the "news", keep in mind that it really is a "carnival", or, better yet, a 3-Ring Circus that they present to us...

I have observed that what emanates from one of these infernal contraptions, depends quite markedly on who is operating the controls.
Yes, it is a circus, but doesn't that, in itself, make the timing and presentation of 'news' more interesting?0 -

Thanks for that, I have noticed on drilling down through a story how often they are merely replicating press releases from vested interests 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I have seen some comments on articles stating this is nothing more than press release.
I'm probably as guilty as many for not being critical enough of articles I (speed) read. The stats are astounding though. Going by the lecture I think there will be a few studies seeking to replicate the study.0
