anti septic wipes for less

ANTIBACTERIAL WIPES

bathroom cleaning wipes. use dettol or similar and mix up a gallon (in an old milk jug WELL LABELED!) according to bottle directions then I put a roll of bounty paper towels in a large plastic container I had (I think it was designed to hold a loaf of bread!) Then poure about 3 mugs of the dettol solution over it. Total cost - less than £!1

put some in the car for when you need to use public toilets as well. I even run one over the handle of my shopping trolley before I use it cos I hate getting a sticky one eeeewwwww ;D!

I buy Tescos value wipes & top up with diluted detergent/perfume of my choice, that way they are already in the container and at 49p for 100 they don't bust the budget. Disinfectent, bleach & essential oils all seem to work well when diluted, I don't use much and shake really well for permeate the wipes. ;)

You can also make camomile wipes for removing make up this way, just use a camomile tea bag!

Never tried homemade wipes but do carry a couple with me. My ma-in-law has gaviscon tablets that come in a tube (a little smaller than a smartie tube) - I washed one out and rolled up a couple to put in and carry round - much cheaper than the little handy packs. :)

I use those Flash wipes in the bathroom. I use them sparingly, like if we get an unexpected visitor I'll use a couple to whizz around the sink and loo... it got me thinking...!

Does anyone know a way to make them? I want to make disposable ones that I can whip out without having to spray stuff around and I hate the thought of re-using a cloth in the bathroom.

I was thinking of something along the lines of those babywipes that you can get in a tub (the cheapo ones) which I could put a cleaning solution on...? do you think that it would work?

    Any ideas welcome..... x

i just use tesco value babywipes. Dont really want to bathe my skin in kitchen cleaner or furniture polish. Baby wipes clean my fridge, worktops, cooker top, sofas (leather) furniture, doorknobs, and even the kids' bums!;)

That would work ......just put some flash or whatever over the wipes in a tub and leave them to soak it up:)
