Idea re. washing new clothes

If you are worried about new denims etc. bleeding dye in the wash, so you wash them separately for the first few times, try popping a bit of old white rag in with them on the first wash. Then if it comes out still white, you'll know the garment doesn't bleed, and it is okay to wash it with a mixed load in future.
