Mummy has been growing tomatoes for years and she didn't know this...when pinching out...don't chuck any of the tips...not even the weeny ones. Put them in a milk bottle if they are large...or an egg cup if small...in water...and they will root very quickly on the kitchen windowsill in front of your very eyes... OR...put them in the greenhouse in very soggy compost. They take extraordinarily quickly. Not only do you get at the very least 15 to 20 plants for the price of one but also the enormously large numbers of extra tomatoes, all conveniently staggered at the correct times to ensure you haven't got a glut at the same time. I love this one... :A
