MATH, I need your help

Options
Math, ages ago you told me about refilling the bath foam thing from boots, can you remind me how you fill yours? do you just put shower gel in or do you add water, as what was in there seemed quite runny compared to shower gel.

Thanks.

MATH is away to the seaside for six weeks and only gets internet access at the library so you might not get an answer to this one from him for some time ;)

I do not know if this will be any help - when I refill my hand wash I use the cheapest supermarket bath foam for this and also use the stuff instead of shower gel as it works out much cheaper.

I filled with 1/3 shower gel and 2/3 water. It has to be very runny for the foamer to work. I re-filled mine loads before the pump gave up. This is also a geat way of using up bath foam if you never bathe and only shower. With bath foam you do not need to dilute it as much because it is more liquid to begin with. HTH - Nice to see you back 160

woohoo, thanks so very very much. I've had one empty one sat on top of the bathroom cabinet for weeks now, and the second one is nearly empty. I'll give that a go tonight.

Which foamer is it? I have an impulse shower foamer (last of the xmas pressie toiletries) but have looked and can't get the top off in order to re-fill it.

if you use hand wash as well as bath foam have a look at the ingredients on the back of each.

9 times out of 10 they are identical and its much cheaper to buy the bath foam and use it to refill a handwash bottle.

check it out next time you are in the supermarket; many branded makes offer both bath foam and hand wash and i have never noticed any difference in use.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o
  • hi. Thought i'd just mention too,,, i kept those foaming handwash bottles from kandoo or the kids palmolives (bought them when 2for1 offer) and now i just put in some normal handwash like radox handwash (also bought duriing offers -best to stock up as the offers comes up) and dilute it. Pop the foaming dispenser back on and theres one in the kitchen, bathroom, 2nd toilet .... they last longer, smell just as good and one bottle could be shared throughout the house and last twice as long!!!!

Can you still buy foam dispensers, or were they a short lived thing? The only things I remember seeing at the supermarkets were the normal liquid pump things.

My Uni has just installed some foam pump dispensers (along with some groovy Airblades http://www.dysonairblade.co.uk/ ),and it really surprised me just how little foam was needed to wash with.
