Didn't know where to put this, but thought I'd try here first!

Went to Tesco today and I had a coupon (that had come out of the till last time) saying "Spend over £3 on Tesco Healthy Living Pre-packed fresh meat and get 100 extra points". So, tried to use it (got chicken breasts, healthy living worth well over £3) and the till wouldn't accept the voucher. The lady at the till said that we hadn't bought the right product. Can anyone explain the mystery? My boyfriend and I have clubcards that are linked to the same (my) account, so surely it's not that?

Thanks in advance.

Take it to customer services and they will sort it out, I had one for "spend £10 on Housewares.......and lots of other non-food categories get £1 off " I bought a quilt and the coupon didn't work. Till operator was very pleased to shout in a loud voice that I was trying to use it on the wrong product, very embarrassing and annoying.  Customer services gave me the cash even though I paid by CC, their loss no 1, next day I saw an identical quilt £2.50 cheaper so I took it back for a refund and as the coupon hadn't been registered on the receipt they refunded in full ( Their loss no 2). Made up for the rude checkout operator.

Thanks folks. Very annoying. I'll try again and kick up a stink when it doesn't work.
