In an effort to nurse a cold a spilt an entire mug of hot lemon tea with honey on our carpet! Any magic formulas out there to clean the stain?

I would suspect lots of hot water rinsing and dabbing with cloths rather than scrubbing

put a folded teatowel over the spill and either stand on it and pace up and down or place heavy books on top in order to use syphon pressure to soak the moisture from the pile

the hot water will help keep the honey liquid whilst drawing it from the pile

the only prob is that as honey is antiseptic in property and lemon is acidic you may find that the carpet has been slightly bleached by the spill

warm water, and a drop of vinegar will remove stickiness.
