How can I get rid of Ink on lino (is that what it is called? - basically the kitchen floor) and Gloss paint off the kitchen work top. wanna do it the least toxic way if possible please ;D

Had a few accidents while clearing out the boiler room :-[

    have you tried hairspray on the ink,know its good for getting ink out of clothes, leather,and other things maybe worth a try.

    if its ball point ink meths is good so is fly spray and hair laquer and milk!!

    dried paint on kitchen work top should lift off if you put the knife flat against it and gently pick at it

    the old farts mate is a painter decorator, Ill ring him and ask him tonight

    ;D

    also ooo wire wool would do it without scratching the worktop
  • I am sure Kleeneze do a product to remove paint from clothes, carpets and surfaces...

    ink rubbers (india rubbers were they called) work a treat on biro on lino. as for the paint, chip gently with a knife or i use a fish slice!!1

    Cheers guys .... will give it a bash over the weekend. Ink stain is pretty big. Left a bag there (overnight) with leaking ink bottle in it >:( Scrubbed away at it real hard as soon as I noticed it, but there is still a blue splodge there :(

    Can I use that paint spirit stuff (white spirit I think) on the gloss?

    yes but it wont touch dried on paint

    the ink thing, try ammonia that should lift it out or have you got any hydrogen peroxide


    washing soda??/
