Hi there,
We are moving soon, so my little boy has decided he wants a spaced themed bedroom.
I want to make it special but as cheap as poss.
Does anyone know where I can get any space themed stuff for his bedroom?
i.e duvet covers, curtains, rugs, ornaments, beanbags, wall hangings, anything space related really?
Thank you

Yes you can get some of these things from Homebase. They have a booklet with different kids theme designs and show you what to do. Try looking on their website or going to your local Homebase
I did my sons room as a football theme.. 0 -
I've just done one of these!! And it's excellent.
My little boy is only three, so we just have a Buzz frieze, (£7 for 5m from Homebase).
Also - go to Ikea if you can. We got him a couple of wall lights (they are wall mounted but plug operated if you catch my drift). One is a moon, and one is a star and they are £4.50 each (beat that!)

Also.....my favourite!! They do a really good planet hanging for a tenner (but it looks so cool that it's worth every penny)....
Space hanging
And they have spacey looking wall decs (he calls them his spaceship control panel) for about £3

The light we chose was also from Ikea, I liked it as I thought it looked like a space station type thing! It's not on the web-site, but it's round with three spotlights and cost about £30.
Sorry about all the links - I have no idea how to post pictures.
He's got a half height bed with tent curtains, so we've put one of the lights underneath it so he can play in it like a cave.
As you may be able to tell, I'm really happy with it!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Thanks for the replies. Homebase is ok, but I find it a little expensive for the things I'm looking for.
When I go home next (West Mids) I will pop to Ikea. I've seen these items in there before and they are excellent, thank you for bringing them to my attention again

Also, how about those stars/planets you stick on the ceiling that absorb light during the day and then glow for a while after the light is put off? My youngest loves those![0

You could always make some planets to hang from the ceiling. Use different sized balloons and papier mache art attack style. Apart from being loads of fun for your boy It's cheap!!

Agree with that. I managed to get a pack of 50 assorted shapes....stars, moons etc....for £1 in a local pound shop last year. Kids love 'em.amghiggs wrote:Also, how about those stars/planets you stick on the ceiling that absorb light during the day and then glow for a while after the light is put off?
