We're looking for a class of year 10s or 11s, to try a MoneySaving experiment for a Tonight With Trevor MacDonald money special. The aim is to see how much about MoneySaving, debt and consumer issues I can teach in an intensive one day course and see how far it gets.

It's all about breaking the cycle of debt and seeing the impact of such a lesson. After that, we'll then send the pupils home to see if they can save their parents some money.

If your school is interested:

Talk to the head-teacher to see if this is feasible, as always with these things we're on a tight schedule so it's sooner rather than later. If the head is amenable then do let us know, parental permission for the individual pupils will come later.

Who to contact:

If you're interested please email tonightmoneysaver@itv.com with your details and info about the school, and if possible include a phone number.

    what a fantastic idea!
we have long thought that money management & personal financial budgeting should become part of the National Curriculum as it is horrifying to see how easy it is to get into debt & how little regard some people have for the value of money. can't wait to see the programme!

    Hi

this is a great idea...my school is in a demographiocally poor area and would help some of them realise the issues of debt!
