Hi all,
Do any of you have tips for cleaning really dirty copper? I bought two copper fish kettles on Saturday for £3, I want them gleaming on the hearth filled with fircones.
Any tips welcome

I always use half a lemon to clean my copper kettle. Just rub cut side over and leave for a few minutes before washing off and drying.0 -
Thanks fatnan will try that, I spent the evening rubbing away with brasso but it's going to take alot of elbow grease that way, and energy I haven't got!

I have inherited a lovely 1920's fire guard, I stareted to clean it up & to my utter suprise it is copper underneath all the years fo grime!:D
I have done a search but the search facility hates me at the best of times so as usual, no success:rolleyes: Never had to deal with cleaning heavily tarnished copper on a large scale before, anyone got any tips please?
