Persil wash up liquid---use less

Options
I know that when I use persil wash up liquid I need less to get the required suds BUT they use a bottle top with a big hole in so it's very hard not to squeeze too much out (OH squeezes it out as if it's test of strength and to keep mentioning it meant that I was in danger of him never washing up ever again or sounding like a tight***e harridan) so in the end I bought a cheaper brand of liquid and when it was empty swapped the bottle tops over as the cheaper on has a smaller hole - the current bottle is 2 months old!

I've now got into the habit of diluting my washing up liquid 50:50 so even though I use the same "slug" of liquid I'm only using half as much and still get the same amount of suds with it ;)

BTW, it's a marketing trick to make bigger holes so you use it up quicker and buy more :D

Ughhhhh I HATE Persil. Just switched back to Fairy and now I really can do twice as much before I need to change the water. Believe the hype! and persil isnt even that much cheaper!

I'm with you on that one lipidicman, and much prefer Fairy although I sometimes get Tesco own brand if Fairy isn't on offer.

I'm very happy with Ecover - more expensive but seems a more natural product.
    Nice to save.

To use less I use to put my my washing up liquid in a pump dispenser so you use less. And I would then water it down a little.

Does just a good a job.

I'm definately a fairy fan, it is sooooo much better than the others. I use very little washing up liquid (most stuff goes in the dishwasher), so it really does last me ages. I bought a 3 pack for £2 in Asda before Christmas & I've only just started on the second bottle!

I am lucky to have a boss who has 3 businesses, one of which is a cafe. Their wholesaler has anti bac wul in 5ltrs for a fiver. This gives me 10 refils for 50p each. Not bad for anti-bac.
