I guess that was part of the deal with the Telegraph.

Yep, got the paper in Tescos and went to Costa's (did check online before setting out that this was one of the participating stores and it was). No books to be seen on counter, but one of the staff spotted coupon in my hand and came out with a book for me. He did insist I fill in my details, but I never bought a coffee.

I'm certainly going to do so, not least because they've stopped putting the newspapers out in there - which was one of the main selling points of sitting in there on a Sunday drinking a coffee. They don't put free papers out anymore because they want you to buy the Telegraph. They seem to be blind to the fact that there are plenty more coffee shops with free papers to read to choose from!
Thanks, I wasn't able to find a number for customer service on their website, but I did find the number for the Franchise Team: 0208 956 2250. I was thinking about making a complaint about the specific franchise. The guy wouldn't even look at the voucher to confirm that I didn't have to purchase the paper from their store. I was so exhausted as this was the third store I had visited in hopes of getting a book.
Doesn't surprise me that Costa is a franchise, it explains everthing.:undecided
Costa coffee head office: 01582 424200, then ask for Costa customer serviceI :heart2: Waitrose0 -
I've been on the Telegraph promotions website today trying to find a list of participating costa coffee shops, but I can't find any mention of the offer!
Also, there is a competition on the page telling you to read a chapter of a book and enter a competiion to win a trip yo Venice, and says click below to read the chapter, but there's nowhere to click ! Am I going mad, or is there something wrong with the site ...?0
