Bought a fantastic, immaculate Laura Ashley 3/4 Trenchcoat from (you guessed it) Ebay for £5 - bargain!
However, it smells very very slightly musty. I was going to get it dry cleaned, but thanks to this month's cash crisis that is a bit of an unecessary expense. (plus also - would that work?)
Any one got any ideas as to how to de-musty it? It is 'dry clean only'.

Fresh air, it's the best and cheapest deodorant there is. Just pick a dry day with a slight wind and hang it outdoors on a hanger from the line.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Fresh air and sunshine is the best thing, as sunshine kills the mildew that causes the musty smell.
Alternatively you could try storing it for a few days in an airtight bag/trunk etc with a couple of tumble dryer sheets.
Failing that, you could try Febreze, Comfort spray, or hang over a steamy bath with lots of vinegar in the water.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0
