I'm not sure that this is the right place, but here goes

Recently after an episode of Fat Friends my husband went to the chippy and asked for Fish for the cats.

It really is very good and our dog goes crazy for it, too. It did strike me that if you were prepared to remove the bones and were having a bad week it would be great for a family fish pie.

    That's a really good idea, wish we had a normal chippy near us, we have a chicken place, a chinese, a pizza place and a curry place, no nice normal chippy any more :(

    Don't watch Fat Friends - what do you get? Is it the trimmings from the fillets, uncooked? Do you get charged a lot/anything? We have several chippies not too far from us.

    At our chippy it is the trimmings where the main bones are. Being in Yorkshire it isn't Cod, but it is uncooked and very fresh and free.
