Tonight with Trevor McDonald is making a film about Payment Protection Insurance and how there are savings to be made by the canny consumer. Martin will be running a "loanbusting clinic" at the Plaza shopping centre on Oxford Street on Fri 5 January and the Tonight cameras will be there.
If you have any questions to ask about PPI or want Martin to give you tips on how you can save money on current borrowing or loans you're thinking about taking out then feel free to turn up with any relevant documentation and ask away. Cameras will be rolling from around 10.30am.

I have recently tried to cancel the payment protection insurance I have on a £25,000 personal loan, but I was told by HSBC Bank that I could only have done that on the 14 days following the loan grant. I was suggested that instead I take another loan to cover for this one and get that one without insurance.
Is this the case? Can't I cancel an insurance I no longer want?0
