that's right, theres no catch. Most days you have a quota of 20 files to download.
You can get nifty themes, pictures, ringtones, sound fx too.
If you find a real cool .wav sound file which your phome can't play, then use this site to convert it.

Just tried to download ringtone. Didn't work!! Now I keep getting texts every few seconds & my pay & go balance is going down each time by about £1!!!

You normally have to text STOP to a special number to stop them.
You have to read the terms and conditions.
Look on their site or it should have come with the first text message you got.0 -
I uses mobile9 many times, never received any text, how did you access it, kazzaw? You don't pay mobile9 but your mobile phone service will charge you for access wap & data transfer (download)
To access wap, I use Orange Pay as you go, £1 for the whole day (until midnight) to access Wap (it called Orange world).
Once you are on the net, go to wap.mobile9.com and add reference no. of file you want to download (get the reference from internet as in first post). then it just download and install into the phone.
I received no text and only thing I paid was £1 to orange to access Wap. You can download loads of files as it is unlimited access if you use orangeworld, (I think it is fair use policy but I did download a lot and I got about 10 java games yesterday, compare to £3 or over a game from somewhere else) I have no idea about other network e.g. vodaphone, etc.
Oh and another good place is getjat.com it is for java games and application.
If you don't want to pay for wap access and data transfer, you can download to your computer and use data cable to connect to your phone (if you have it), then it will be all free.0 -

I have only ever accessed this site on the pc and downloaded hundreds of things then transferred to my phone via bluetooth. I have never had to pay for anything. This is not a scam if used in this way but I can't confirm/deny any charges for wap browsing.

that is what I said, isn't it if you download it on the PC and use data cable or bluetooth, then it is totally free. if you use via wap browsing then there is a charge from your phone provider, e.g. access via Orange world costs £1 until midnight and you can download loads of files (I have never count how many but definitely more than 10). It is not scam, and if you are charge, you probably went to wrong place i.e. click on its advertising tab and went to different website.
as response to kazzaw's post where he/she said there is charge and keep getting text message etc., I think it is not a text from mobile9.0
