I have Band D in South staffordshire and it's risen 2%. Oddly enough the increase pushed me into eligibility for council tax benefit too
Granted only £1 something a week so the amount I'm now paying per month is the same as I've been paying for the past 3-4 months since coming off income support anyway

Mine is going up 3.5%.
I wonder how they calculate the average. Do they just count up the increase of each council and take the mean, or do they take into account the number of properties?0 -
2.9% for me0
