I want to buy as a birthday surprise for my DD 15th birthday a new digital camera.
I want to spend around £60 (so I won't be too upset if it gets lost or damaged).
She mainly takes pictures of herself and friends and currently uses her phone (tocco) but it's not brill without a lot of fiddling on settings in poor light.
Would like camera to be:

- small and compact - like Nikon coolpix S220 or Fuji S35
- Have good battery life - should I look for non AA battery powered ones
- Ability to capture videos

Think I've decided to go for either the Fuji Z35 which is £77 or the Z30 which is £65. The Z35 is slightly smaller.
OH is going to try camera shop for a deal on hte Z35 to get a free memory card else I'll order the Z30 on line with an 8GB memory card an additional £12 from ebay. ~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
