If the stains are on a mattress;

Use equal parts cloudy ammonia and warm water.
Then use soapy water using as little water as possible

I use Oxyclean for almost any stain - I buy it at ASDA. However, I am sure other people here will have better ways of removing stains

(If all else fails, I use Stainslayer from http://www.lakelandlimited.com/ )

can i ask what else you use it for, does it get out grass, blood etc.

I use it for almost any organic- based stain - and it certainly works for bloodstains for me. I haven't tried it on grass stains - yet!
