Has anyone noticed that most, if not all of the cards in the picture in the article are debit not credit cards?0

Terrifying statistics... *shudders at thought*0

Truly frightening.
If you are in this position , please get advice.0 -
Hang on - firstly, I can borrow sometimes on a credit card for less than my mortgage interest rate (promotional offers etc.) secondly, you are always told that the rent or mortgage must be paid otherwise you lose your home, which isn't normally at risk with just credit card debts! This sounds like good sense in the short time as the banks have been ruthless in evicting people despite the recession.0

I wish my lender would let me pay by credit card... then I could get cash back on it! lolKavanne

I did this last year as we where waiting on a large cheque from a supplier then binned the credit card. Good thing that the credit card was a business one and had no interest charged on it. We had no other way.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0

Am I just stupid or easily conned. I have lent my Grand daughter, a large sum of money £40,000 or slightly more. I now find that She and Husband are buying groceries and paying their mortgage with credit cards, as he is out of work. She works and husband is starting work in a week or two. Should I continue to fund them, or pull the plug? I do not have much of my savings left and of course I may need them if I have to eventually go into care!!!0
