What a surprise. December sees a fall in mortgage lending.
Maybe it is caused by people choosing not to move in the winter months. Has there ever been a year when lending wasn't down in December?
C'est la vie, non?

Its November figures...
In 2007 and 2008 there was a downturn, when comparing November to October.
Which was fair enough, as Nov 2007 was the beginning of the crash, and Nov 2008 was mid-crash.
But for those looking for signs of a return to "normal" years, it appears not;

In 2006, it was UP 9%, Nov vs Oct. It also beat the record August of that year.
