I dont think that their are sufficent grounds for a refund been honest
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • I would ask your current employers if they would be willing to support you to do the course if you really want to do it. My last place of work had a sliding scale of financial support if the course was going to be beneficial to the company they would pay it all, but if you left before a certain time you had to pay a sum back.

If not have a look on Amazon for the books required, do the study at home and sit the exams at a local college, far cheaper in the long run and will save you shelling out stupid amounts of money again.
Of the money you have already paid out i'm afraid i doubt there's much you can do.
Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.
  • For what it's worth you could write to the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council, if you're unhappy with the course provided? I must admit, I work in adult education and haven't heard much positive regarding this company.

I'm not able to post links because I'm new but you can Google them.

    Good luck

  • So the books they sent me that cost me £1800 my boss gave me the books again for free this time!! both of them to do the exam which my work will pay for! and it only costs £85 to take the exam roughly. The books are only £40 each and cover the entire MCDST Exams. So Computeach over charged me by about £1650.

I might have no choice to let them keep the £1800 for free with nothing to show for it and move on. Oh well I guess we live in an evil world huh

So I have been trying to sort this with no luck, Computeach ignore my phone calls. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good letter that I can send them as I am not the greatest letter writer, I have just been made redundant as well so its not a good month now, with a baby and no money. Barclays have put the loan up to 2k now so now I owe 2k and have nothing to show for it because of a pushy lying salesman. How many people have to complain before something is done, look at advent!

I am trying to be as sympathetic as I can, but you have to take your responsibilities and stop blaming lying salesman etc etc. Surely you are not that easily lead.
Surely you researched the company before you paid £1800. I cannot see you getting your money back, but try trading standards if you feel cheated.

No you are right it is my fault and no I did not look online before hand, which I have learnt my lesson from, it was stupid to trust a company I did not know.

Well perhaps its the best £1800 you have ever spent. Some people have much more expensive lessons.. Try trading standards, try computeach again and again. Try and get some money discounted.

  • Whats more worrying is they advertise all these courses especially the CIW web designers course yet their website is designed and maintained by an independent web agency youd of thought they'd give the job to a student since thats what their training them to do!!
