FotoLibra feedback

After reading of another members success on another thread on here I was wondering are there any other people who use PhotoLibra to sell their photos online and have made good sales from it?
Also, for those who use it already, on the PhotoLibra site once an image has been sold will it be removed so that other buyers can no longer see it?
Does anyone have any tips on which type of image seems to be popular?
I have some photos from NY as well as some local snaps which I think after a little touch up in photoshop may be saleable.
Any comments appreciated

I have looked at the Photolibra site and see that you can only have 12 pictures on there without paying a fee every three months. I would be wary of any site that requires you to pay to have your pictures on it.
I would recommend doing a bit of research before choosing a site.
Have a look in magazines to see what sites are selling pictures, the picture credits are usually printed sideways down the edge of the page.
Have a look at different sites to see how much you will get for a sale, some will get you only 20p or less for a sale, and how much you have to earn before you get paid. If you do not earn enough you may never get paid.
You can find the names of lots of picture libraries at

Almost anything can sell, for a rough idea have a look at

copy the six figure ref eg A1B23C click on the Alamy box on the top left and you will get the search screen where you can paste the ref click search and you will see the picture. Click on the picture for a bigger version and some details.
You do not sell the picture, you only sell a license to use the picture. There are two main types of license rights managed, which will usually involve a single use of the picture but sometimes the buyer might want to restrict the future use in some way, for which you would expect to get a higher payment, and royalty free which allows the buyer to use the picture as often as they like for one payment.
This will give you some more details

I'd suggest sticking to sites with no fees.MSE allowed me to see the light0
