Computeach

I started the MCSDT course with Computeach in March 2007 but with one thing after another deaths and moving and so many other problems I was unable to start the course. So finally I got an IT job without there help. I now sat down to do the course and finish it off. They sent me 2 little books that cost me £1800 which I am still paying off. But when I called them they said time had expired I would have to pay again. I know its been a while but I have not cost them any money apart from too small books probably worth £15 at the most. What should I do she offered me 3 months support for £150 or something and I would have to pay for everything again???
So in effect my life has been crap till now and when I try to build it back, I get slapped with a £1800 bill and nothing to show for it
Any ideas or should I give up and pay again?

i dont know but why should you repay agin have you a copy of terms and conditions ? my only query would be if it is a runing course you paid for a specific cpourse and maybe you did not finish it so trying to join a new course may technically cost money? what is the mcsdt course anyhow ?I AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. It was always going to be £1800 down the pan anyway, even if you HAD done the course.
A couple of worthless books, the rest of it online training using data freely available through google.
The tests, you could do at a local college.
There is a reason these companies flourish..... and it isn't by getting people £40k jobs on completion, it's by charging a fortune for virtually nothing.0 -
Its a microsoft desktop support technician course, I paid for it but never started it, they said the time has passed I have to pay again if I want to start doing it now as its been too long they said0

I would go through college my oh is microsoft bla bla certified and cisco and lots of other big words i dont know what it means and hes been in IT years hes just touching 40k so for a company to give such false hope is wrong and iof they are offering 40 k jobs straight out of training i think il do the course

I've been a desktop support tech for years and don't earn that.
Don't pay them they aren't worth it.Years ago when I was just starting out Computeach had an awful reputation. I see they haven't improved
Go to your local college they'll do better and cheaper courses for you.Space available for rent0 -
I have to pay, its already been paid from Barclays to them 2 years ago, I am paying it back to Barclays and I got nothing but 2 books now from computeach, should I go after my £1800 as I got nothing for it?0

Neolight.
You state you are a serving police officer, it that not a full time job?0 -
No not full time, I am a special for now, I am on hold for regulars as its taking up to 2 years from this point so I am continuing with IT as its my other profession. Just in case I don't make it full time with the Police.
Sorry for any confusion0 -
if you have paid them the 1800 i do not know what to suggest you have to pay the bank if you have borrowed it, i dont knowif you could get your money back for not doing the course i do not know ? you would be better reading the terms and conditions of the contract with computeach ?I AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. There adverts are at best a bit dodgy, very misleading
10,000s of people are doing IT course at uni etc now and have done for some time so theres no massive shortage of the majority of IT jobs, then there's virtualisation, remote support, central run server farms and of course over seas support desks
all pretty much decimating the industry
gone are the days when I could charge 1k to install a PC and £500 to attach the dot matrix printer, /sigh
and for that rate i would expect 3-4 days in a class room of 5-10ppl, all the books and the exam at the end0
