What do you mean by credit rating?

Is it just low or do you have adverse credit history?

If it adverse by being a joint applicant she becomes associated with it and so yes it would affect her.

It would effect her in terms of being rejected and searches being carried out in her name, as thats the most likely result if adverse is present at the moment!!

Everyone has an individual history, this includes financial associations with persons being financially connected, you are only connected when you have agreements together, not, looking for agreements.

The connections are only present in credit searches incase of someone "going missing"... if you do individual credit applications then they only take the individuals details as they would not be allowed access to the other person, unless they have their permission.
