Cleaning Gloss Worktops

In my need to have a lovely flashy stylish kitchen i got the glossy granite look worktops now every mark makes them look dull and i am spending a fortune of the cif oxy spray.

Whats the best way to clean them?

P.S Cathy what was that white vinegar solution that you could keep mixed up in a spray bottle for cleaning was it 4 parts water to one vinegar or the other way round?

;D

yes 4 parts water and one vinegar or just neat vinegar is fine

I have gloss worktops in the utility room blue ones and I use all sorts on it, I get a good shine with window cleaner.

also once you wash them in the vinegar or just washing up liquid, just buff them up with a dry tea towel and they come up dead shiny anyway.

But the very very best shine I get on them is I bought a ceramic hob cleaner but never use it for the hob once I discovered the vinegar and bicarb.

so one day I thought id try it on the kitchen tiles and the gloss worktops and granite worktops in the kitchen

WOW and it lasts for months and months

What is the Vinegar and Bicarb?

I have black granite worktops too and they are a real pain to keep clean looking. I really regret getting them.
    Keep on trucking!
  • Water with a tiny bit of fairy in a spray bottle works really well, given a light spray and buff with a dry cloth.

Sprinkle dry bicarbonate of soda on the surface to be cleaned, then activate with white vinegar, so the whole thing fizzes up and can be wiped away. Good for greasy stains. Nothing more exciting than that I'm afraid!

I use a chamois micro cloth on mine. Use a normal micro cloth to clean and then follow with the chamois micro to polish up
