Hi all,
Quite new to this game and wanting to build up our points for a holiday next year, and I dont know which would give best value / highest points reward?
Can anyone let me know what they typically get sent if they choose e-vouchers (hopefully a few high value codes would do nicely).

Hi billy bulldog,
I see you have had no replies....I am not sure about e-coupons (they always seem to need a high minimum spend) but I have just started to collect loads of points instore, my tips include:
#1. Join all the Tesco Clubs online more than once (i.e. in the names of all your family members, including Wine and Baby club even if teetotal and retired...just make up some details!)
#2. Have separate Clubcards for all adult relatives, don't amalgamate the accounts. Then you will all be sent promotional coupons when the time comes.
#3. Keep your eyes to the ground when outside a Tesco! Today I picked up THREE extra points till-spits 'a little extra from Clubcard' (worth about 200 points) and two discarded receipts with 'Sign Up for Clubcard' which are worth around 40 points if you go to CS a few days later and say they were passed to you by a relative who doesn't carry a Clubcard.
#4. (a bit daring) if you get two till-spit extra points coupons the same but only want to buy the item once, do a big shop and use one of the till spits along with a few others (and some money-off coupons of course!! if your tesco accepts them as cash off your shopping without buying the product). Then go to Customer Services and say you forgot to hand the extra points coupon in (I usually show them the product in my bag but they never ask to look at your receipt, they just credit the points).
#5. Consider buying extra points coupons on eBay (the 'named' ones are OK as well as the till-spit points ones, but they always have bids on!). If you're worried about the different surname hand over your key-fob Clubcard with them (but no-one notices anyway). But only buy ones you'll be buying the product for anyway otherwise it's not that 'moneysaving'.
#6. Look out for other places to pick up points, e.g. Nationwide Autocentre for your car service & MOT, Powergen (if not too expensive) for your fuel bills etc.
WITHOUT even using tip no. 6 yet (i.e. instore only), I have so far this quarter (since May 1st) got over £150 in vouchers which gives me more than £600 in 7 weeks, towards our holiday next year!
GOOD LUCK!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

May sound a bit dumb here but if you have family members all with seperate accounts how does that help your points total as an individual.0

It's only a small point, but anyone can use the extra points coupons that come with the Clubcard vouchers (as long as the family members are all happy to pool them for use by the Clubcard Holder who is saving for the holiday).
When each active Clubcard Holder is sent their coupons they are also sent other extra points coupons for products they have bought in the past. So if you have signed up your OH, your Mum, Son, Daughter etc., then as a household you will have more extra points coupons. Doesn't matter about the surname on these, as has been said before, anyone can use them on a shop.
Each Wine club/Baby Club/Healthy Living club member will also be sent their own extra points coupons, so the same applies to these. I try to use every one I get - you end up eating and drinking new things sometimes! I even found a till-spit coupon for extra points on catfood recently (no we didn't eat that, but neither do I have a cat!). I carried it around until I found a reduced-price pack (damaged box) which I bought (using money-off coupons of course) then donated it into the spare catfood charity box outside. They got a donation, I got much more value in points than I spent.
Each account may also get sent '£4 off £40 spend' (or similar) Tesco coupons too, which helps the moneysaving whilst accumulating points. And, if they only make occasional small purchases to keep their Clubcard active, I find that they are more likely to get 'till-spit' extra points coupons too (unproved theory but I have found this is generally the case).
Also, if one person gets a till-spit coupon that says '150 extra points when you spend £6 on DVDs' and another person has an extra coupon (with their name on) that says '100 extra points when you buy any 2 DVDs' for instance, you can use BOTH together when you buy just 2 DVDs for just over £6. They will both scan as you have met both criteria, and you will get 250 extra points for a low spend.
Finally I forgot to mention last time that I'm now applying for a Clubcard Plus for me (the main shopper) as you get double points on this (see Martin's info on this site).
HTH, sorry to warble on.................PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi again,
No, I only post under the one user-name and tend to drift around reading different forums, anything on shopping, coupons, eBay or random stuff that catches my eye!
I'm too busy going to Tesco and looking after my 4 little Coupons, to remember to use different user-names when I do get on a site! It would confuse me no end as my brain is sieve-like (apart from coupon-knowledge).
Strangely enough, after giving all these tips I was asked for the first time ever today, why I had Tesco points coupons with 3 different surnames!
Luckily I had split my shopping into 2 to keep my Mum's stuff separate (genuinely) and had taken my own advice and only shown my key-fob Clubcard (no surname).....so I was able to quickly explain that the coupons were mine, my OH's and my Mum's as I was doing her shopping. Seemed to work!
edit: By the way all the coupons were from eBay!!!!!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

how can I earn points from old mobiles, can't find anything on the Tesco site but seem to remember you could trade in your old mobile phones for points.Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you0

If you go along to customer services there are normally plastic envelopes for you to use..if not just ask because sometimes they are behind the desk .0

Hi,
In 3 weeks I have accumulated 650 points (200 from spending and the rest from, rather shamefully, yet effectively picking up receipts of the floor. Several receipts had the ''sign up for clubcard'' print out at the bottom but I simply cashed the points in, how is it worth 40 points rather than just the 17 points (for example) for the £17 the person spent?
Thanks,
Mark0 -

I have always been told in my local tescos that any points from receipts have to be added to CC the same day, or is this just if i forget to hand my clubcard over ??
