No, its a test! You dont actually have to go and do it, just make it up.

I used the text from a previous report, just changed the name of the store to a jewellery store such as Samuels etc

Oooooh thats good to know! I'd have completed the assignment if it wasn't for that!!! THANKS!

I did the made up one for TNS - I put the name of the shop as "The Mystery Shop" which made me chuckle for the remainder of filling in the report. I'm so easily amused...

I feel Tern are very picky when it comes to reports though. I passed mine, but they sent me an email saying how they wanted me to improve my writing skills. None of the other MS companies moan, in fact, I have only ever had one query raised and that was by Gap because they didnt read the report properly.

That made me smile too. I laugh at my own jokes too, it's so rare that I actually think of a good joke that I have to laugh. My husband thinks it's cute :o.

    Ah this made me laugh.

Tern have just accepted a whole batch of jobs I applied for next week, just reading the brief and it states that staff will review the CCTV afterwards to watch the MS on camera - Tern give them the time and date and they review the whole lot.

So you'll get found out if you dont stay in the shop for the required length of time :)

I'm sure I understand the brief and requirements more than their external proof readers sometimes.

Hotel Visits-(Vacation chain...)Business stays. Breaking news.

The client has changed the rules of who (and when) can do the visits and RE themselves are not helping with their "filters"

The bottom line is (at present).

If you have done one hotel then you will not be allowed another visit (to any of the locations) for 9 months. So you will not "see" them on the WA board.

RE are not helping by excluding previous MS shoppers seeing "leisure" visits either!

Basically if you think that you should be able to see these Business visits (or you have other "Filter" problems) then contact RE.

If it's a hotel problem then ring Katherine on 01908 328 008 or email katherine DOT earl AT Retaileyes DOT co DOT UK

She is really helpful and is happy to take queries on "missing" jobs

I'm in the south east, and quite close to London, but have never seen a hotel job. Do you think that I have something wrong on my profile, or should I contact RE to ask about them?

Doubt it-I'm in the SE too with London in my geographical range and have only ever seen one I think hotels disappear at a rate of knots. Once the alert is up it's usually too late-they go in seconds.

With regard to the "take one and everything vanishes" issue I'm waiting on a callback from RE. They say there have not been any changes made to the allocation processes in the last week so it isn't that.

EDIT Got a nice quick callback and it is been looked into
