Sat/Sun weekend 9-10th May - what small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning all!!

Happy Anniversary Mogchops.
Not quite a debt free task but I am having a clearout - I made a decision last night after long term b/f changed his mind about driving up from London last night in favour of going out with his workmates again, so all his clothes and carp is being cleared out and boxed up ready for collection:j If he loves his workmates so much he is welcome to them because I have had enough - I should be number one priority and not at the bottom behind a long list of his work mates:mad: Its very cathartic clearing out his stuff - it makes more room for mine:D Guess it could be moneysaving because it means I no longer have to drive to London to see him so it saves on petrol:j:money:
Have a good day all.:D0 -

I am back from our frugal trip to Devon and it was lovely, Pip paddled in the sea for the first time and tried to eat sand!!
Today I have/will:- Lots of hokey cokeys at 30 thanks to holiday washing
- Puree Pip some veggies and use a chocolate tray to freeze it in (Thanks for the idea Fay!)
- Cook OH a special tea as he has gone for a showdown with MIL about her dreadful behaviour at Naming Ceremony
- Try and get to garden centre to buy some bigger pot and some soil so I can pot out my seedlings as they are now HUGE!!
- Write Thank you cards (BOGOF) to peeps to thank them for Pips lovely gifts.
- Mope as I wanted to visit the baby show at the NEC but we cant afford to go

Happy anniversary Mogchops and Happy Birthday SM...
And Happy 12th Birthday to my eldest daughter.....:rotfl:
Busy day all round!!!
Girls were soooo good last night having a sleepover - in bed at 10, watched Twilight and all asleep by 12.30:D
Yougest off to gym club in a mo, my mum coming to see birthday girl, then my friend and I taking 8 of them swimming this afternoon. Party tonight (bro in law's dad's retirement do, but will see family and my nieces, should be good)
Here's a list.....- scratchie - 10p and 25p in TAB stupid bonus pot:o
- Check banking....cheque from ex mil still not cleared grrrrr
- washing on - load no.2 going now
- 1st load on the line
- tidy up before mother visits
- have home made bday cake later
- buy girls chippy dinner before we go out (to save time you see;))
Anyway...have a lovely day all:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well today has been excellent so far.
I have been to the gym to use membership
I won £1000 on the premium bonds in May which was amazing, I have been to the bank to pay this in.
Done daliy cards and won £1 on the 5p bingo. Also with regard to the TAB changes, it states if you want to claim your winnings in other amounts than £10 lots, you can write to the customer service team to ask to cash in. So it maybe worth a try. info in the T and Cs
Need to do a supermarket run when OH gets back with the car, we need more than I can carry alone.
Other than this a quiet day is planned my Brillant OH cleaned the house yesterday so there isn't too much to do today.0 -

Hi Millie
I'm new to scratchies and just wanted to know if you had 2 St Miniver sites or is your other site another company's? Can you let me know who it is as the FAQ section on the gambling board doesn't say which other gambling sites do free scratchies.
Thanks
Oh - Happy B'day to your 12 year old - good luck at the pool and have fun tonight!
