Just ordered this myself.

Viking 1gb SD Card £17.99, delivery is free. Ive ordered batteries from them before and found them to be cheap and reliable.

    I received my 1gb SD card yesterday. What an absolute bargain. I can't believe people haven't replied more to this post because the 1gb SD card for £20.49 thread was on fire. Can people not count?!

    By the way, I also got a Uniross X300 battery recharger with 4 AA and 4AAA rechargable batteries for only £11.99 from DirectFoto to. All postage free!

    That's a good spot and good to know that they don't charge p&p - I like that!

    I spent an insane amount of time on Sunday night looking to buy 3 things which I needed to be delivered before the Easter break, preferably from the same place to save on p&p:
    • a 1Gb high-speed SD card
    • 1Gb MP3 player with radio
    • AAA rechargeable batteries
    Unfortunately, the best deals I could find were from different companies so I only bought the 1Gb SD card in the end, a x66 card (up to 10 Mb/sec read and 9 Mb/sec write) from https://www.mymemory.co.uk - link here

    It was £17.99 + £3.95 p&p (=£21.94 delivered). Don't know if there are any other high speed cards which are cheaper out there? (and would prefer not to know anymore!). I presume the Viking card is not a high-speed card?

    Ps: the best buys for the other items, if you can get other things to dilute the p&p costs:

    Am impressed that the Fuji XD 256 Mb cards are only £14.99 that is half the price of anywhere else I have seen. Bargain!!

    The SD is not high speed but from reading the dpforums it won't matter for me. I have a Nikon D50 and it has a buffer that allows you to take quick shots. Apparently having a high speed card doesn't make a difference to how quickly you can take photos on it.

    Hope it arrives very soon as I have a lovley shiny new D50 with 18-70 and stupidly didn't order a memory card when I ordered the camera as I was so excited about getting a bargain camera...

    Bought two from directfoto for exactly the same camera. Does the job nicely. The time takento write a RAW file seems pretty quick and if in JPEG mode, the camera achieves the frame rate detailed in the spec. Overall, cant go wrong for £18 each!!

    I wish I'd known that when I bought an expensive high-speed card for my Nikon D50 a few months back! However, this time around I was buying one for a Canon Ixus 30 specifically for shooting video, where card speed does apparently have an impact on how long you can film for in one go. Wasn't entirely convinced but bought a high-speed card nevertheless.

    However, another thing a high speed card does have an impact on is how fast you can transfer the photos from camera to computer - it took seconds rather than minutes!
