Lots of acts try out their stuff in small venues. That way if it bombs they not many people see it. Newman and Baddiel used to play gigs in Norwich to test out their new stuff I went to see one of them and they were very good.

Last Saturday - Al Murray, the Pub Landlord. This Sat - Omid Djlali, top Iranian.

Previously I've seen Ardal O'Hanlon, Harry Hill, Andy Parsons and loads of other brilliant performers.
