My husband works in the furniture industry and rumours are rife about LOL going under. They apparently aren't accepting cash which is a sure sign so I'm told0

It wouldn`t be the first time this lot have gone under and people have lost their money only to see them open up again under a different name.
(world of leather, last time, I think)
Anyone buying anything over £100 should always use their credit card, even if it`s just the deposit,so if anything goes wrong you can claim off your card company.0 -
Land of Leather and World of Leather are both in a precarious position. If I were in the OP's position I'd ask for my deposit back..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
In this day and age I am buying everything on credit card and paying it straight off, just so that I have the security.0

LoL,DFS,SCS are all on a sticky wicket.
How often do you need to buy a sofa?
when times are hard, you make do with what you`ve got.
These companies would do far better if they just gave a price and none of this silly "reduced from £1500 to £750 and cut further to £350,for one day only"
What a load of complete and utter tripe.
Do people actually believe these ads?0 -
World of leather and Land of leather are 2 totally different companies.I know this because i have worked for both. World of leather was part of the Uno group which went bust in early 2003 owing over 6million(They still owe me 4k) and Land of leather which was founded by Paul and Jerry Briant have been trading since 1998, hope this clears up any confusion.0
