The Google Trends links in the article don't work for me.

I think there have been some formatting errors in the urls when you copied them over from Google?

I'm surprised you missed the opportunity to say you are bigger than Jesus Christ:

Not even close:

Although both Martin and Robert get smacked down by a certain Miley Cyrus:

Default Even more famous people?

It might be worth noting that one of the references on Google Trends is to the comedy double act of Dean MARTIN and Jerry LEWIS! So some of the Google Trends are not what they appear.

Some might say they're even more famous than our beloved MSE- although he's clearly catching up fast.

Now if only he were named Britney Obama, he'd get even more search hits.

Default Obama's tactics

Obama must have been running these comparisons last year, and decided to do something about it.

Here is a similar search, confined just to Martin vs Obama, from the UK, for 2007. Martin is clearly in the lead all the way. I reckon Barack got fed up with this and resorted to the slightly undehand tactic of running for President to improve his rank.

Fair enough, his tactic has worked, but some people will do anything to beat the MSE, won't they?!

Oooo ... how to distract me from work (like there's anything to do - it's nearly Xmas and the office is a ghost town!)

Anybody else just searching names of their football team against their rivals? Nottingham Forest are more searched for than Derby County Also, Take That have been more searched for than Robbie Williams since mid-2006. Now off to see if Google backs up which Aussie states prefer AFL over Rugby and other such pointless things...
