I am just a little curious as to how many people have got Loans, Secured Loans or Mortgages with GE Money.
Just wondering what sort of problems others are having with these people.

We have our mortage with GE money no problems - yet! Have a secured loan with Central Trust part of the same group I think, we were sold it as 'fixed rate' 9 months ago put it up, (stating bank rate rises as cause) are in dispute over this, today another letter saying going up again and bank rate has fallen, anyone out there who can help us we are getting desperate and in debt thro thisELIZABETH1 wrote: »I am just a little curious as to how many people have got Loans, Secured Loans or Mortgages with GE Money.

Fixed rate means "Fixed" for a specified period of time - recheck your documentation to see the period of fixed rate.
If it is 5.00% for 2 years your payments should remain the same for this entire period no matter what state the financial market is in.
If your unsure and require further advice have a look at the Financial Ombudsman Service website for info or even give them a quick call to explain and seek advice.
