On DMP with CCCS - problem with creditor?

My Mum was originally on a DMP with a company called sterling green, after a year she went through cCCS and has been for 6 months. All has been going very well, except last night she rec'd a call from Halifax who have said she has had her one chance with the DMP and as she has changed companies (although not missed a payment) she has defaulted and they will commence legal proceedings within 14days. Interest is now being charged etc.
Is this correct or a scare tactic to get some more money from her? She can't contact CCCS until this evening after work and is quite worried.

Halifax start charging interest sometimes anyway, I am not sure if I recall ever seeing them taking people to court but I will ask in the DMP topic for you.
My gut instinct would be they are trying it on or it is a last ditched attempt before they sell the debt onto a DCA. If it does go to a DCA at least the interest would probably stop being charged so not necessarily a bad thing!0 -
Halifax charge interest again no matter what you do, they tried all the crap with us before passing us over to their inhouse debt collectors. Who are much better than Halifax themselves TBH.
Not only do we not get charged interest now, the phonecalls have stopped, the amount we pay is lower and they are willing to settle for two thirds of the amount owed. Halifax realy are are bunch of beeps, still they lost out in the end.Barclaycard 3800
