To help celebrate the release of Classic FM Weddings 2008, we are offering one lucky listener the chance to win their own chocolate wedding cake. Not only that, but it will be designed and made by none other than top patissier Eric Lanlard.
Eric Lanlard is a master patissier. Since arriving in the UK 18 years ago, the 39 year-old Frenchman has changed the face of British Patisserie, earning himself a reputation for inspirational cakes and an A-list clientele.
Twice winner of Continental Patissier of the Year at the British Baking Awards, Eric’s unique combination of craftsmanship and unbridled creativity has made him the premier cake-maker for celebrity events, including the weddings of Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Claudia Schiffer and Elizabeth Hurley.
With numerous television appearances including UKTV Food’s daily live show, GMTV, BBC’1s Big Day and more recently, Channel 5’s Cooking the Books. Eric is now an established food celebrity in his own right.

Aware that there was a demand for the same inspirational cakes created on a bespoke basis, Eric launched Savoir Design in 2000, taking direct commissions for fabulous and stylish celebration cakes.
In May 2007 Eric opened Cake Boy – a cake emporium – housed in Battersea Reach - a luxury residential riverside development in South West London. Eric’s new space includes a ‘cake lounge’ and a high tech and beautifully designed cookery school.
The Pink Cookbook published to coincide with this month’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign is published by Hamlyn Books containing a recipe by Eric: Lemon and Passion Fruit Tart with Raspberries, priced £6.99.Glamour Cakes by Eric Lanlard will be published by Hamlyn Books in June 2008.

Win a Designer Wedding Cake Rules
The following rules (“Rules”) together with GCap Media plc's ("GCap Media") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at https://www.classicfm.com) apply to ‘Win Your Wedding Cake’ on Classic FM radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Tuesday 8th April 2008 to Monday 19th May 2008 (“the Duration”). The "Participating Radio Station" is [Classic FM].
By entering this Competition, anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.
1. Details of the Competition
1.1 Throughout the Duration, listeners to the Participating Radio Station will be invited to enter the Competition by entering their name and contact details, including address, on the competition page which can be found at https://www.classicfm.com/weddings
1.2 To enter the Competition an Entrant must enter their details as specified above, into the competition form. If entering the competition from the solus e-mail, entrants will go directly to the competition site. If entering the competition from the website, entrants will need to either sign in or register for Behind The Music. Entrants can register in the Behind The Music section on classicfm.com
1.3 The Winner will be chosen completely at random from the entries received on line. There can only be one winner who will need to visit Eric Lanlard’s studio for the cake to be designed, they do not need to visit Classic FM.
1.4 The winner is chosen using randomizer.org, a selection mechanic used for all Classic FM competitions.
1.5 All matters relating to the selection at random of Entrants and all other matters relating to the Competition will be at the sole discretion of GCap Media and the Participating Radio Station.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Entrants to the competition need to be either getting married or be donating the cake to someone who is getting married.
2.2 Any employees of or contractors engaged by GCap Media, their immediate family or any other persons directly connected with the Competition are unable to enter into the competition.
2.3 The Competition is open to residents of the UK and Northern Ireland only.
2.4 Notwithstanding that a winner has been declared, if GCap Media discovers before the delivery of a prize that for any reason under these Rules or Terms and Conditions the winner should have been ineligible to enter the Competition or the entry should have been declared invalid, GCap Media reserves the right to determine that the winner is disqualified.
2.7 An Entrant must participate in the Competition himself or herself. In the event that a party other than the Entrant attempts to enter the Competition on behalf of that Entrant (whether disclosed or not), that entry will be forfeited and no Prize will be delivered.
3. Prize
3.1 All decisions of the GCap Media and Participating Radio Station’s representatives will be final and binding on the Entrants and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any decision made.
3.2 The prize is a chocolate wedding cake (to the value of £700) to be designed and produced by Eric Lanlard’s studio in London. The Winner will need to make their own way to London for the design session. Delivery of the cake to the wedding venue will be provided by Eric Lanlard, on behalf of Classic FM.
3.3 The prize will have to be taken within 2 years of the Winner being notified. If the prize is not taken within 2 years, with Winner will forfeit the prize:wave:0
