Weighing Scales - Boots

I know this may seem like an odd thing to ask but...the weighing scales/BMI machines they have in the bigger branches of Boots, do they actually read the results out loud? They used to have basic ones that just printed a little slip of paper out for you but these new ones look like the kind they have in Tescos - and they definitely read the results out for everyone to hear.
The scales I would love to use are right in the front entrance of the Leeds city centre store and there are never less than about 30 people milling around that area - I can't even waste £1 testing the thing because everyone would see me bolting for the door if it piped up and then I'd die of shame
Can anyone advise?

Why not ask a member of staff - they should know for sure - they work near it all day.0

Why would anyone invent a set of talking scales for use in public? (I mean the real ones, not the ones you get in fairs etc.) I'm not the biggest person in the world, but I'd be running for the door as well if it told the world what weight I was!"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I am a Boots Manager, and I can reassure you that they do not talk (at least not to me;)) you just get a print out with your weight and BMI. Stand up straight though, as it will measure you, and if you are looking down for the ticket to print out you will not get an accurate reading.2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615
