Yummy Mummy voucher book received (daily mail)

I have received my voucher booklet today and i am not happy - it says it's a taster booklet and has 1 20p off voucher, offers on 2 magazines, ad for chester, offer on t-shirt, and various ads.
I saved 24 vouchers for this and sent a sae, and it's a complete waste of space! I have phoned their care line and was told if you didn't send in the £4.99 ( for handbook) this is all you got.

has any one had the same problems? has any one got the origional advert to check the wording??
Many thanks

Thats ridiculous!!! I picked up two yummy mimmy booklets from the newspaper stand free a month or so ago and threw it away cos it was rubbish. I can't imagine you would be happy with this after saving up vouchers!!!

I will be annoyed if that's all I get, I get a free newspaper from my gym but it's still a hassle getting all the vouchers :(

Does it sound the same as what you picked up then?
It certainly reads that way - a taster booklet, collect vouchers through march etc

Yes it sounds just the same, there was an offer for a baby t shirt with a slogan on the front, a few mag offers etc, nothing that interested me at all so I chucked it.
  • I've just now sorted out the tokens and sae for the voucher booklet only but if it's as you say carray I won't be sending for it.

    According to this:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/prmts/prmts.html?in_article_id=378214&in_page_id=1777

    the voucher booklet is:

"packed with more than £150 worth of discounts and treats. There are so many demands on a busy mum's time that she often forgets herself. Treat yourself to a free haircut or beauty treatment, splash out on a half price diamond pendant or pick up some great paperbacks absolutely free."

Are these offers not in your booket? If not I think you need to contact the DM right away. I was only sending for it on the strength of these "discounts and treats" as I'm sure you were as well.

I'm going to hold off sending for this booklet for now.

Well yes that's why i applied aswell - no free haircut, jewellery offer or anything.
I will print out what you have just put on the link and phone them again and let you all know how it goes!
So far i feel the offer is very misleading.

I have the same taster booklet and have phoned to complain. I even read the original article to them as I kept it and I was told, must have been a mis-print in the paper, this is all you are getting if you have a problem with it take it up with the Daily Mail. When I get 5 minutes I will write to them as phoning them has proved fruitless. If anyone else has any joy please let me know. Thanks.

Yes i agree - why did we have to buy 24 papers to get that???
They are sposed to be phoning me back, will have to wait and see. I think it is very misleading and ought to be taken further, it certainly does not say if you only send in a sae you get a different voucher booklet ( which is what i was told on the phone)
