I would say this
Now, we all know Phobos is one of Mars’ moons(!) but which of these distinctive shapes does it most resemble?
Gary Lineker’s ear (his left one)

A perfect Walkers Crisp
would indeed be a spud http://images.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=http://www.oa.uj.edu.pl/apod/apod/image/0804/phobos2_hirise_big.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.oa.uj.edu.pl/apod/apod/ap080414.html&usg=__1b3-jaUQdwMGT1gUX2Kykm1Ajrk=&h=3300&w=3374&sz=13292&hl=en&start=2&um=1&tbnid=YTzBhrj6z57W3M:&tbnh=147&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3DPhobos%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1T4GZHZ_enIE228IE228%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1:hello:0 -
Phobos definitely looks like a small potato - see image on:-
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phobos_(moon)
The Turkmenistan flag took some tracking down, but on:
turkmenistan.gov.tm/_eng/2008/07/03/print:page,1,flag_of_turkmenistan_at_the_tallest_flagpole_in_the_world.html
It states the flag is 52.5 x 35 metres (area = 1837.5 square metres)
Then, from:
aeltc.wimbledon.org/en_GB/about/infosheets/grasscourts_general.html
It states that "Total area of grass on each of Centre & No.1 Courts is 41m x 22m", which gives a total court area of 902 square metres which, as close as makes no difference, means the flag is as big as two tennis courts (actual ratio 2.037).
Note - I don't think it can be the 44,000 crisp packets, as this would make each packet 8 inches x 8 inches - which is too big.
My two penn'orth, HTH
I still need to work on the 10,054 question - any ideas anyone???May contain nuts. Your mileage may vary. Batteries not included. Thanks to all posters

These are the dimensions for a standard tennis court:
The actual playing dimensions of a doubles court are 23.77m long x 10.97m wide (78' x 36').
So, I think that's the closest to the flag size. A potato field would be too big.It is a scientific fact that your body will not absorb calories if you take it from another person's plate.:A :A :AChocolate is the answer and I don't give a damn whatthe question is.;)0 -

I'd say it's a or c was trying to google potato keepy uppies to no avail.
So.......... I got my measuring tape out & measured a bag of crisps (a 17g pack though not the 34.5g) they are approx 13cm x 17cm.
Anyone good at maths wanna try work out if that would be right for the tennis court.> (I'm hopeless at maths)
I am inclined to think though the tennis court option is the right one.
However I probably am totally wrong:hello:0 -
Ok now I don't know what you guys think but I will explain my reasonings.
I think Turkmenistan boasts the world’s tallest flagpole, at a neck-aching height of 133m/436ft 4in, but what we want to know is, how big is the flag? is 1.5 potato fields, This is why:
The flag is 52.5m x 35m. Total Area = 1837.5m
Crisps - If you divide 1837.5 by 44000 you get 0.0418m which is 4cm which would mean the pack of crisps would be 2cm x 2cm, so that rules that answer out.
Tennis Court - The court is 78 feet (23.78 m) long, and its width is 27 feet (8.23 m) for singles matches and 36 feet (10.98 m) for doubles matches
So area for singles would be 2 x ( 23.78 x 8.23) = 391.42m so is too small
area for doubles would be 2 x ( 23.78 x 10.98) = 522.21m so too small
so that counts those out.
Fields - If you divide the 1837.5 by 1.5 (cos there is 1.5 fields) you get 1225 which would suggest a field was 35m x 35m which I think seems ok.
What do you think?
SCRAP ALL THAT LOL just seen Hudds post and as the question doesn't specify the playing dimensions, think he is right as I was working on just the playing dimensions which as shown is too small. Plus also thinking it's a Wimbledon comp so will likely be related questions and walkers just wanted to throw us by making us do maths lolYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

10,054 is the approximate answer to which of these seriously silly questions?
I think its the crisp.
If you take the length 2100cm and dividing by 17cm = 120 roughly, then the width 1100cm divided by 13cm = 84.
Multiply the two and you get 10153, which is quite close.July Wins - Stargate Universe DVD Set0 -
I can't see the Turkmenistan flag query being the potato field option, as 35m is only the length of around 7 or 8 cars - would be a very small field.

Yeah I know, I've changed my post. Only reason I came up with that is cos it gave an exact number and when I was using the playing court dimensions it wasn't working out but your use of the full court dimensions works out, so thanks
