I use internet coupons at my local Tesco's (Huddersfield) Sometimes the checkout person will be reluctant to accept them but it is the store policy to accept them.I just make sure that I don't try to use too many at once(10%) and I just ask them to accept what they can.
if i had known then what i know now

sometimes self scan ones take them.

Waitrose apparently have a policy of taking all vouchers that you bring. ( not tried it but gets good reports from here)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I work in an Asda store and it's not our store policy to accept Asda coupons from the Asda magazine without the customer buying the product. This is because Asda loses too much money/cannot claim the money back from itself if it hasn't sold the product and also why Asda no longer accepts coupons of other companies. We also do not accept internet coupons. I don't really know why this is, but if I were to guess then I'd say it's because you could easily just make up the coupons yourself and there's no guarantee therefore that the store can get it's money back on the products.

As someone else said you can always try the checkout operator and see if they'll accept them, but the more experienced of the checkout operators would not accept them from the internet/printed off vouchers. I *think* that if a particular checkout operator did accept a large number of these type of coupons then they might get pulled up for it and someone might have a quiet word....although I've never known that happen.
  • I never bother with internet printed vouchers, there are enough vouchers around in the newspapers eg Daily Mail £4.50 book voucher or magazine vouchers for me to not bother with them.

I once bought a job lot off ebay and they were internet printed and I tried to use a few all of which were rejected by the cashier so they went straight back and I had a refund

  • Could I ask please where I can find such internet coupons, as have been looking for them but cant seem to find them anywhere!

    Thanks

I have just been to the site and printed off a coupon. Are you sure that you have not reached your print limit? Says in green at the bottom of each coupon, print limited reached. That's the only thing I can think of.
